Your Answers Will Change Everything

“I am a little pencil in the hand of God who is writing a love letter to the world.” ~Mother Teresa

That quote from Mother Teresa jumped off the computer screen from a page of quotes and landed right here on my blog post. She is expressing exactly what I'd like to be for my readers, for you — a little pencil offering something worthwhile and inspired to make your life measurably better. Although I guess in my case, I'd be a little keyboard.

My post today is a request. It is a request for you to help me in my work to help you.

Blogging is an extension of coaching for me. It is my passion, my profound joy to work with people as they take the fearless steps toward actually living the lives they have previously just dreamed about. When I work with clients, they can tell me their goals and roadblocks. When I'm blogging, I have to make an educated guess about what might motivate, educate and inspire you.

So here is where you come in. I'd like you to tell me. Tell me what you would like from me. This will help me know what kind of posts and products to offer you in the future.

Below are three questions. Please answer them either in the comment section or email me privately if you'd prefer at [email protected]

1. What problems or worries are most occupying your thoughts and energy?

2. What big or small goals or changes would you like to make in your life?

3. What would you like to learn more about related to any of my topics (career, health, coaching, lifestyle, money, productivity, relationships, or self improvement)?

Please feel free to add any other thoughts, suggestions or comments that would help me make Live Bold and Bloom a better place for you.

  7. 1. Interestingly enough these questions of yours come just at a time when I wished I could express myself over what you are asking.
Three weeks ago I decided to give my business of 33 years away to somebody I think has got the qualities to pull it successfully through the present crisis. Unfortunately a partner of one key foreign subsidiary of the group has not accepted this decision, because he had a plan to take better advantage of the situation for himself, and seems ready to fight a legal war whose worst scenario outcome could be the bankruptcy of the whole group. Such an outcome would have a financially devastating impact on myself and my family.
Obviously I am devoting time and energy trying to find reasonable solutions for me and all of the people whose livelihoods depend from these activities, but I am also trying to understand the deeper reasons for which all of this is happening since there has been such a series of unlikely events allowing for this to happen that I cannot believe that you could call them just coincidences.
    2. I would like to be able to work doing what I am best able to and just what is necessary to be able to live having enough time for those I love and for appreciating the gift of the life I have been given in all its wanderful variety of moments.
    3. I would like to ask if you ever had a unifying insight beyond all the various topics you deal with.

    • Barrie Davenport says:

      Hi Roberto,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply. I look forward to writing posts about these concerns. I hope that you and your partner can come to an amicable conclusion about your business.

My one unifying insight — yes, I have had one. The life you dream of is in this very moment. All of life is a series of “right nows” — moments just like this one. Whatever you think is waiting for you down the road is really right here, right now. So you need to be in charge of every moment of your life and make sure it is spent in the best way possible. Some moments may be better than others, but if you are creating the moments, you are creating the life of your dreams. Sometimes it can only be an attitude shift, but that is in your control.

  8. i have alot of stress ( is this off topic for a comment? ) and i wanted know, since i have no friends to ask for help ( because of my stress ), is there any way that the mind can help you with your stress, causing you to be for calmer, mor patient, and have less stress? or is it just me who has this feeling that my mind helps me with everything ( for example: tests in school, enemies, and parents ) and feels like theres someone always with me, guiding me, as if a guardian angel was there? peace out!>.< – scarlette

  11. Hi Barrie,

I enjoy anything that reminds us that we create our lives by our beliefs and perspectives. And that we have the power to change our beliefs and change our lives.

I especially like when emotion is honored rather than overridden. To embrace and then move forward from that place.

Posts about ways to create more compassion and love are great – especially when they acknowledge that we don’t ONLY have these feelings.

Healing as it relates to mind-body and the role we play in our own healing is an area of interest to me as well.

Keep up the great work – and thanks for asking!

    Warm regards,
    Lauren
