Are You Ready To Be Coached?

Copy and print the following assessment and circle the number next to each statement that reflects how true the statement is for you right now. The higher numbers are for mostly or completely true, and the lower numbers are for mostly or completely false.

I have been receiving your newsletters for a while now and each time I open one it is exactly what I need…thank you for that. I pass the e-mails onto so many people, I think everyone needs to hear your message.

I was curious what type of training you have and if you recommend a coaching program for folks that want to get into the field.

Thank you and Happy Monday!

    Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for your kind comments. I’m so glad my words have helped you.
I received my coach training through Coach U, and I had a wonderful experience with them. They are accredited with the International Coaching Federation and have a great reputation. You can go to the ICF website and look at a variety of schools that are accredited. There are many, but be sure to choose an accredited school. I hope this helps. Feel free to email me if you have questions.

Hi Barrie,

I am a female in my late 40’s and not in a healthy relationship, but not abusive, that I feel I need to walk away from. What are your coaching fees?

Joy Regner

Hi Barrie

Your newsletters have been profound and inspiring.
Now that I’m going through transitions in my life…from self employed to possibly, becoming investor/entrpreneur in the healthcare and wellness industry.
I’m now looking into teaching the holistic arts (yoga, taichi, etc) on which I
will need Cetification.
And as an adjunct to that Certification, I would also like to become a personal coach.
I would appreciate your advice on how to go about
getting myself a Coaching Certification that I can possibly do online.

Thank you

    Barrie Davenport

    Hi Joy,

Congratulations on all of the wonderful changes you are making in your life. I was certified through Coach U ( It is one of the most well-respected, accredited coaching programs available. Courses are held by teleseminars (on the phone), which is necessary so that the instructors can verbally train you with coaching techniques and hear you doing some coaching. But there are many other good programs. Check out the International Coach Federation (ICF) website to research other accredited programs:
