This summer I’ve been quietly hammering away at something new and exciting, something that has been brewing in my mind for quite some time.
When I launched Live Bold and Bloom back in 2009, my goal was to translate my work as a personal coach into a platform where anyone, anywhere could benefit from the skills and insights I was sharing with my clients — and what I was learning from them.
I wanted to address the fears, limitations, and beliefs that prevent us from maximizing our potential in all areas of our lives. I wanted to help people live fearlessly through shared experiences in self-awareness, personal evolution, and practical actions for moving forward.
You may have noticed recently I change my tagline from “Personal Growth for Fearless Living” to “Personal Growth for Passionate Living.” Because what I really want to help you do is not only address fears and limitations — but also move past them to a passionate life — a life I believe is possible for everyone.
So that brings me to my big announcement.
In October, I will be launching a new site (in addition to Live Bold and Bloom). It will be called Barrie Davenport.com and will focus exclusively on helping people uncover their passion(s) and learn the skills to integrate that passion into their lives. As you know from many of my posts here at Live Bold and Bloom, life passion is a subject I am quite passionate about!
This site will not be a focused only on finding a new career or building an online lifestyle blog or business (although that will definitely be part of the conversation).
The focus will be on helping people uncover their passion and figure out the best way to live that passion realistically within the context of their lives right now.
That could be through . . .
- volunteer work
- hobbies or avocation
- relationships and family
- all of the above
Not everyone wants to quit their job to start an online business — and many people aren’t in the position financially or otherwise to start over with a career. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of other ways to infuse passion into your life. And that’s what we’ll be discussing at Barrie Davenport.com.
If you hate your job, we’ll be talking about ways to change your perceptions, ask for what you want in your current job, or shape-shift your job in ways that make it more palatable. And we’ll work on how to uncover your passion so you can pursue it in other areas of your life beyond work.
And yes, we’ll also discuss how you can find work you love and move toward it — if that’s part of your personal passion plan.
There is an amazing benefit of finding your passion and activating it in some area of your life, even if it’s not in your job. Your passion has a way of generating energy, creativity, and enthusiasm that spills over into all areas of your life. Often people who have a passionate hobby or interest end up naturally transitioning to a full-time career in their passion field. They are so enthusiastic about what they are doing that opportunities fall into their laps.
We will also be discussing different ways to bring passion into your life, how to make your relationships more passionate, and the internal shifts and evolution that needs to take place to create room for life passion.
What to Expect from Barrie Davenport.com.
Of course I’ll be providing loads of free content, including weekly articles, videos, podcasts, guest experts, and guides — all focused on helping you uncover what makes you come alive with passion and showing you how to make that real in your life, using practical and realistic strategies. No hype. No false promises. No magical attraction.
In addition, in November I will release a new book called The 52-Week Life Passion Project. It will provide a weekly lesson and actions for every week of the year to help you learn more about yourself so you can uncover your passion and figure out how to build it into your life. The book will be available as an ebook for immediate download. And it will be available through Amazon for your Kindle or as a hands-on, old-fashioned book! More on the book to come, so keep your eye out!
Also, through this new site, I will be offering workshops, courses, and personal coaching based on my work and experience as a certified life passion coach, a public relations and marketing executive helping others live their dreams, and my own personal journey of finding and living my passion.
I hope each of you will join me at Barrie Davenport.com when it launches in October to become part of this new community of passion-seekers. I will keep you posted on the exact launch date.
How will this impact Live Bold and Bloom?
If you are wondering what will happen to Live Bold and Bloom, never fear. I plan to maintain this site as I have been, continuing to focus on a wide variety of personal development topics and offering practical skills and ideas for self-improvement and personal growth.
The focus will remain on moving beyond fears and limitations toward a happier, more fulfilled, more passionate life, in all areas of life.
I am so grateful for your continued support and interest in my work here!
Your feedback is appreciated.
As I work toward building BarrieDavenport.com, I want to make sure I provide solutions to your problems and answers to your questions related to uncovering what makes you come alive with joy and enthusiasm and figuring out how to make that a centerpiece of your life.
I also want to share experiences and inspiration from those who have been successful at finding and living their life passion.
So I’d love to get your feedback directly on the following two questions. Please put your answers in the comments. Or if you want to answer privately, just email me at mybloom life at gmail dot com.
What has been the main problem, roadblock, or difficulty in either finding your life passion or making it part of your daily life?
If you have found your passion and have found a way to live it, what is your passion and how have you made it part of your life? What did you have to change or do differently in order to live your passion? (I realize this is two questions, but let’s pretend it’s all part of one.)
Many thanks to you all for sharing your experiences and thoughts! You are helping to shape the future of my new site and allowing me to provide the information you want.
